Quinton Aaron was hospitalized with a blood infection, with his friends and family asking people to donate

Quinton Aaron, the US actor best known for his role in ‘The Blind Side’, was admitted to a hospital with a severe blood infection.

As soon as reports of his medical condition surfaced online, people shared supportive messages and information about his family’s fundraising efforts.

A Go Fund Me appeal was launched after the actor was hospitalized, requesting people to donate money needed for his treatment.

A total of $3,508 was raised out of $10,000 required with the help of 89 donations by January 26,2026.

“Many of you know Quinton Aaron as the gentle giant who brought Michael Oher to life in The Blind Side alongside Sandra Bullock. But those who truly know Quinton know something even more powerful than his performances on screen — his heart 

Quinton is one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. He shows up for others. He encourages, uplifts, and gives freely of himself, often without asking for anything in return. Today, he needs us to show up for him. 

It said, “Quinton is currently hospitalized and on life support due to a severe blood infection. This has been sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for his loved ones. As he fights for his life, his family is facing an immense emotional and financial burden — medical expenses, living costs, and the uncertainty of how long this road to recovery may be.

“When someone is this critically ill, life doesn’t pause. Bills don’t stop. Expenses continue to pile up. And no family should have to choose between focusing on their loved one’s survival and worrying about how they will make it through financially.

That’s why we are asking for help.

Paris Hilton sits for an interview days before the release of ‘Infinite Icon: A Virtual Memoir’

Ahead of her documentary release, Paris Hilton has said she wants to show audiences she can be a musician and activist too.

Hilton, who is known for being a socialite, reality TV star, model, and occasional actor, spoke to Reuters about “Infinite Icon: A Virtual Memoir,” which arrives on January 30.

Its follows Hilton as she records her 2024 electro-pop album “Infinite Icon” and prepares for a one-time performance at the Hollywood Palladium.

During her latest interview, she said she wants to show a more serious side to herself than the bubbly blonde persona she was known for when she first became famous in the late 1990s.

“In the beginning, I developed this persona and character, I think, as an armor or shield,” she said.

“I had just been through so much trauma in my life and then getting the first reality show with ‘The Simple Life’ and then playing that character on and on – you know, I didn’t realize I’d have to do it for five seasons straight – and then the whole world just got to know me in that way,” she added.

While the media personality said that she believes that her playful persona will always be a part of her, she now wants to show a more mature side.

The ‘Titanic’ star opened up about how emotionally loaded roles leave deep marks on actors

Kate Winslet is sharing some rare behind-the-scenes insights into playing an unstable character.

In a recent chat on the Lessons from Our Mothers podcast, The Titanic actress revealed that she once “went mad” after starring as a troubled character and in order to recover, she took “proper support.”

“There’s this thing that happens as an actor, and it sounds very self indulgent so I very rarely say it,” she began. “But when you play a really difficult part – I think of Mare of Easttown, for example, which flattened me, my god – you do have to kind of come out the other side.”

The Oscar winning actress went on to say, “I call it re-entry. Re-entry into your own life, going back into your friendships, reintegrating into the rhythm of family again. Exiting a family, leaving people behind, letting a character go.”

“It takes a while, actually, to unpick a character from your system, especially if you have played them for a long time, which, with television, you really do.”

Kate especially mentioned her role in Mare Easttown, in which she played a detective dealing with personal trauma, it stretched her to the brink.

“It was meant to be a six month shoot,” she shared. “Covid happened after the five months that we had been shooting, and everything got pushed, and when we came back, our five remaining weeks turned into 10.”

“By the end of the whole thing, I’d been playing that character for over a year. And I really honestly went a bit mad. It was quite weird,” Kate confessed.

She further shared that she took professional help to recover from the character, “It’s the only time in my life that I actually had to get some proper help, to come back to myself.”

“It sounds completely insane, and even as I say it, I feel quite uncomfortable saying it, because I’m aware of how bonkers and indulgent that can sound,” Kate added.

His recent apology to the Jewish community, whom he attacked viciously with his views, is the latest addition to making amends to those he says he wronged.

West credited this stunning change in his behaviour to his wife Bianca Censori, who he explains convinced him to seek help after he suffered from mental health problems.

In the full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal, the Grammy winner states that “I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

Ye, it appears, attributed his anti-Semitic tirades to an injury he suffered in his brain during a near-fatal car crash he had in 2002.

“It wasn’t properly diagnosed until 2023,” he continues. “The medical oversight caused serious damage to my mental health and led to my bipolar type-1 diagnosis.”

Issuing an apology over his actions, Ye says, “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change.”

It is worth noting that this is not the first time West has apologized for his antisemitism outbursts. However, in the past, he had reverted to delivering hateful statements.

Take-Two Interactive Software on Wednesday priced “Grand Theft Auto VI” at $79.99 and stuck to its previously announced November 19 release date, bringing the industry’s most anticipated title closer to launch after multiple delays.

The price makes “GTA VI” one of the most expensive base versions of a top-tier game, pushing it above the $69.99 ceiling that blockbusters such as Sony’s “Ghost of Yōtei” and Nintendo’s “Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” have held for years.

The “Ultimate Edition” of the game will cost $99.99 and add exclusive vehicles, weapons and apparel woven into the story of Jason and Lucia, the protagonists of the game.

Shares of Take-Two rose nearly 3% in premarket trading.

Joost van Dreunen, games professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business, said the pricing was unlikely to dent sales, calling “$80 a rounding error against the anticipation.”

He said the price could set a new benchmark for blockbuster titles with few substitutes but was unlikely to apply to mid-tier publishers. “GTA VI doesn’t lift all prices but widens the gap between the haves and the have-nots,” he added.

Fans have been waiting for “GTA VI” for over a decade, and analysts expect it to be an instant hit with billions ​of dollars in sales within days due to the franchise’s popularity ​and the strong track record of its creator, Rockstar Games.

The previous entry in the series, “Grand Theft Auto V”, was released in 2013 and has sold around 230 million copies, making it one of the best-selling video games ever.

That makes “GTA VI” crucial not just for Take-Two but for the wider video-game market, as the franchise typically drives console sales and PC upgrades.

Take-Two said earlier this month “GTA VI” pre-orders will start on ​June 25. All pre-orders before November 20 include the Vintage Vice City Pack of retro in-game items, with digital buyers also getting a free month of GTA+, a membership that unlocks in-game perks and access to “GTA V” and other titles.

First unveiled in late 2023 with a trailer that now has nearly 300 million views on YouTube, the game features a “Bonnie and Clyde”-like duo blitzing their way through a fictional version of Miami, Florida, called “Vice City”.

New Zealand actor Sam Neill died suddenly on Monday aged 78 after recovering from cancer, his family said in a statement on Monday.

“The loss was sudden and unexpected but blessed by the fact that Sam remained cancer-free,” a statement posted on Neill’s Instagram page said.

“Sam was surrounded by family and passed with the dignity that has characterised his whole life,” his family said in a statement, quoted by AFP.

Neill died in Sydney, with the family paying tribute to a private hospital in the city for their care.

The New Zealander, who starred as Dr Alan Grant in the 1993 blockbuster “Jurassic Park”, revealed in a 2023 memoir he was “possibly dying” with stage-three non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The Jurassic Park actor announced in April he was cancer-free after undergoing treatment for stage-three blood cancer.

“Wry and dry, thoughtful and laconic, Sam fought illness with the same dignity, humour and conviction that gave strength to his every performance,” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a social media post.

“He will be much mourned and long remembered. May he rest in peace.”

Neill’s acting career began in the 1970s and spanned dozens of roles in TV and film, including “Peaky Blinders”, “The Hunt for Red October” and “The Piano”.

When he was not acting, Neill also ran vineyards in the picturesque Central Otago region of New Zealand’s South Island.
